What We Do

We facilitate new beginnings by putting mental health first!

Research has shown that communities of colour are most vulnerable when they seek mental health support and resources. Too often, vulnerable demographics face barriers to their mental health pursuits, leading to frustration, self-isolation, and further marginalization. ARC works to address these alarming trends. Our essential programs are customized with the tools and resources needed to help those on their journey achieve successful mental health outcomes.

WHY WE’RE NEEDED

Words From Our community

“We lay it all on the table and find solutions for instant, short term and long term goals.”

Swiss D. – Wa-Pa Po Youth

“I really enjoy how practical, knowledgeable, and organized the workshops are. The facilitator was easy to follow and made learning about CBT applicable to my situation.”

Chris F. – Mental Health 101

“I suffer from stress and anxiety since I was a teen, and I’ve only spoken with friends, as my family wasn’t open that way. When I found AGATA Resource, I learned pretty quickly that I wasn’t alone, and Philestena was welcoming in her approach. I look forward to when I come in [and] learn ways to help my situation.”

Kenisha – Mental Health 101
